SPECIAL EDUCATION
Part-Time Adjunct Faculty Position
Spring 2013
We are seeking qualified applicants to serve as adjunct faculty in the Department of Teacher Education. Responsibilities include undergraduate and/or graduate courses in special education in spring 2013. Qualifications: To teach undergraduate courses, applicants must hold the minimum of a master’s degree in the discipline or a master’s degree with a specialization (18 semester hours) in the discipline. To teach graduate courses, a doctorate in special education (ABD considered) or a master's degree in special education plus 18 additional hours in special education. Preference will be given to applicants with P-12 classroom teaching experience. All adjunct faculty positions are part-time, temporary appointments.

ELEMENTARY SCIENCE EDUCATION
Part-Time Adjunct Faculty Position
Spring 2013

Classes are scheduled for Tuesday/Thursday mornings. Additional opportunities for field supervision may also be available. Qualifications:  To teach undergraduate courses, applicants must hold the minimum of a master’s degree in the discipline or a master’s degree with a specialization (18 semester hours) in the discipline.  Preference will be given to applicants with elementary or middle school classroom teaching experience.  All adjunct faculty positions are part-time, temporary appointments.

COUNSELING AND HUMAN SERVICES ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, TENURE-TRACK
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in teaching a variety of undergraduate human services courses and contributing to the program development of a dynamic undergraduate program in Counseling and Human Services. Our vision for the individual best suited for this position includes the following qualities: (1) An earned doctorate in Human Services, Counseling, Rehabilitation, or related fields by the time of appointment; (2) Significant experience and a professional identity as a human services professional; (3) Commitment to working with undergraduate students in human services with an interest in gerontology, rehabilitation, addictions, mental health or similar foci; (4) Evidence of scholarship or potential for scholarship (as evidenced by publications, presentation, grants, current research, etc.); (5) Eligible for professional credentialing or licensure in Kentucky; and (6) Commitment to collegiality and serving the university, college, department, and community.

SOCIAL WORK OPEN RANK TENURE-TRACK POSITIONS
The Social Work program at NKU announces the availability of two Open Rank tenure-track faculty positions.   Candidates must have an MSW from a CSWE-accredited program and an earned doctorate in social work (ABD considered with confirmed dissertation defense date).  Candidates with teaching interests in quantitative research and social work practice are being sought.  To be considered for a social work practice position, candidate must have at least two years post-masters practice experience.  The Social Work faculty is currently engaged in community-based projects with children and families and with military veterans.  Applicants with interest in gerontology are also encouraged to apply.  Applicants with interest in or experience with these populations would find exciting collaborative research prospects and teaching opportunities at NKU.  Responsibilities include: teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, working collaboratively with colleagues, engaging in scholarly activity, engaging in community and university service, and participating in outreach activities. The positions are tenure track, nine months, with competitive salary and possible summer employment.

Assistant Professor / Clinical Education Coordinator
The Department of Kinesiology and Health at Northern Kentucky University is looking for an Assistant Professor to serve as the Clinical Education Coordinator of the CAATE accredited undergraduate Athletic Training Education Program.  We are seeking a dynamic faculty member eager to teach, mentor, and advise the next generation of athletic trainers.  Candidates are required to have an earned doctorate in athletic training or equivalent (ABD considered with confirmed dissertation defense date); BOC certification for a minimum of two (2) years; and eligible for licensure in the state of Kentucky.  Preference will be given to candidates who have teaching experience in a CAATE approved program at the university level, knowledge of the CAATE accreditation process, and Clinical Instructor Educator (CIE) experience.   

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate “ATP” courses, developing, implementing, and evaluating the clinical education program; daily supervision of the ATEP clinical education program; collaborating with colleagues; engaging in scholarly activity, and serving the university, the profession, and the community.
